  • The new pop album of Hamburg based singer Miu. The recording sessions at Studio Nord Bremen were produced by Gregor Henning (best known for his work with Rhonda, Me and my Drummer, Niels Frevert and Bernd Begemann).
    Her voice is the central theme of the album however Miu lightly touches pop music, soul and jazzy sounds. Again Miu relies on her musical fellows of the first album but brings in perfectly arranged horn and string sections. Due to this some songs become quite opulent and others possess hit potential. Such as the opener "Dancing In A Minefield" or "Next Big Thing".
    Yet what matters is Miu's terrific and charismatic freshness. Music to be heard!

Das neue Album Leaf der Hamburger Sängerin Miu ist eine Pop Produktion. Entstanden sind die Songs, die auch von Miu geschrieben wurden, im Studio Nord Bremen. Als Produzent fungiert Gregor Hennig (Rhonda, Bernd Begemann, Die Sterne). Und dies hört man! Die Stimme ist der rote Faden des Albums und doch streift Miu die Genres Pop, Soul und Jazzy Sounds. Erneut hat die Sängerin auf die musikalischen Mitstreiter des ersten Album gesetzt und nebst Horn Section auch wunderbar arrangierte Streicher hinzugezogen. So sind die Songs teils sehr opulent arrangiert und andere haben Hit Qualitäten wie der Opener des Albums 'Dancing In A Minefield'. Entscheidend bleibt die ungeheuere Frische, die die junge Sängerin ausstrahlt. Ein Album zum Hören.
