Benny Greb hat sich mit dem Gewinn des Echo Jazz als Drummer national auch in der deutschen Szene eindrucksvoll gemeldet. Viele staunende Blicke!
Sein Aktionsradius aber reicht erheblich weiter und resultiert aus seiner langjährig entwickelten Lehrtätigkeit bei Drum Camps und Clinics. Im Zuge dieser Reiseaktivitäten hat Benny Greb den Gitarristen Chris Montague und Keyboarder Kit Downes kennengelernt mit denen er das preisgekrönte Studio Album Moving Parts aufnahm! Im November 2014 begab sich das internationale Trio auf ausgedehnte Deutschlandtournee. Resultat dessen ist die vorliegende Live Aufnahme. Benny Greb hat über Wochen die Aufnahmen der gesamten Tour gesichtet und diese mit seinem Sound Engineer Sven Peks final gemischt. Ganz fraglos ist das kraftvolle Klangmaterial ein Schritt aus dem Jazz heraus. Ein Statement für die Verschmelzung von Electro Sounds, Indie Vibes und Jazz. Herrlich wie unbekümmert die Musiker Grenzen niederreissen. Hier macht sich ein neues Denken breit. Hören wir zu.
