"It is hard to believe that the Pasadena Roof Orchestra has been in existence for nearly fifty years. In the 1970s, when they turned professional, the band’s sound was classified as nostalgic. This category now seems to be the preserve of other bands and the Orchestra reaches out to a different kind of audience, who were not alive during the golden dance band era. The reason I believe it has done this so successfully, is by remaining true to the repertoire and era that inspired it. - The line-up of talented musicians in the ranks of the orchestra may change but the commitment to faithfully playing these immaculate arrangements and entertaining a music loving public remain."
