Mit voller Hingabe hat sich der 46-jährige Musiker in den Liederschatz von Mark Knopfler vertieft und sich auf die melodischen Linien des berühmten Rockmusikers konzentriert.
Von Anfang an hatte Arne Jansen seinen Freund Stephan Braun im Kopf, der sich bereits als virtuoser Cellist von Melody Gardot international einen Namen gemacht hatte.
Jazz-Rock war in den siebziger Jahren auf dem Höhepunkt, aber diese beiden Spitzenmusiker schreiben mit ihren Knopfler /Dire Straits-Arrangements ein wirklich neues Kapitel in der Begegnung von Jazz und Rock.

In recent years Arne Jansen has been exploring his musical roots, returning to his childhood and the lasting sound impressions of Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits. With full dedication the 46-year-old musician has immersed himself in the treasury of songs by Mark Knopfler, focusing on the melodic lines of the famous rock musician.
From the earliest days of the project Arne Jansen had his friend Stephan Braun in his mind, who had already made a name for himself internationally as a virtuosic cellist for Melody Gardot.
Jazz-Rock was at its height in the seventies, but these two top musicians, with their Knopfler /Dire Straits-arrangements write a truly new chapter in the meeting of jazz and rock.
